Sky Observation Programme
Regional Science Centre, Bhopal organizes the Sky Observation Program on weekends. During the program using advanced telescopes (viz: Refractor & Schmidt-Cassegrain), visitors will be allowed to see the different celestial bodies viz: Moon & its craters, Planets like Jupiter (with Galilean Moon: Europa, Ganymede, Io & Callisto), Saturn with Rings, Venus, Mars etc depending on of their availability in the night sky on that particular day and time .
Besides these regular programme special events viz: Solar & Lunar Eclipses, Transit of planets will also be organised for the general public.
During the program, the basics of telescopes will be explained and discussion on stories related to different constellations (such as Ursa Major, Orion the Hunter, Cassiopeia the Queen etc.) will also take place.
Timing: 05:45 PM to 07:00 PM.
No fees will be charged for the program. However, only entrance fees to the museum will be charged.
Note: Please note that the programme is subject to a clear sky/weather permitting.
